TRIA

Arthur Erickson Place Our Future is Net Zero

Founded in 2002, KingSett is Canada’s leading private equity real estate firm. Offering growth, income, urban and mortgage strategies, KingSett has $13.0 billion of assets under management. The firm has a national portfolio of high-quality projects in all major asset classes.

One of the crown jewels of KingSett’s portfolio is the iconic Scotia Plaza, of which one of its towers, 40 King Street West, received Zero Carbon Building Performance v2 certification from the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC), making it the largest Zero-Carbon certified building in Canada at more than 1.5 million square feet. To celebrate and communicate this achievement, the story had to be told and told well, KingSett brought TRIA on board to plan and promote this announcement on World Environment Day and promote it during Covid-19. And we were up for the task.

We started by fully immersing ourselves in the technical documents to understand all the necessary improvements to be completed to receive the certification. Next, we interviewed key people managing the project to discover the advantages that the 7,500 tenants would get by working at a carbon-neutral building.

Powered with vitally-important knowledge, we provided an end-to-end solution including brand messaging and creative, video for communication on various multiple channels, social media outreach, press release and media outreach as well as colourful visuals for promotional use. The result, a highly successful virtual launch. We are so proud of our client’s role in helping Canada become a greener country and the role we played in making this important announcement a success.
