TRIA

Pathpal Grief Summit

In April 2026, TRIA partnered with PathPal to produce the inaugural PathPal Grief Summit, Canada’s first national conference dedicated to grief, loss, healing, and resilience. Created to elevate the conversation around grief and provide a platform for learning, connection, and support, the summit brought together healthcare professionals, mental health practitioners, caregivers, employers, researchers, community organizations, and individuals with lived experience from across the country.

As awareness of the profound personal, social, and economic impacts of grief continues to grow, PathPal recognized the need for a dedicated forum where experts, advocates, and those navigating loss could come together to share knowledge, challenge stigma, and explore new approaches to grief support. The Grief Summit was designed to create a safe and inclusive environment that encouraged meaningful dialogue while advancing a broader understanding of grief as a universal human experience.

As strategic event partner, TRIA worked closely with PathPal team to bring the vision for Canada’s first Grief Summit to life. From concept development and event strategy through to creative direction, programming, communications, sponsorship support, attendee experience, and event production, TRIA led the development and execution of all aspects of the event.

The summit featured an inspiring lineup of speakers, thought leaders, clinicians, researchers, authors, advocates, and individuals with lived experience who explored a wide range of topics related to grief and bereavement. Sessions addressed emerging research, mental health and wellness, workplace grief, caregiving, community support systems, cultural perspectives on loss, and innovative approaches to healing and resilience.

Designed to foster both learning and connection, the event created opportunities for attendees to engage in thoughtful discussion, share personal experiences, and build relationships with others committed to improving grief literacy and support.

Beyond the conference program itself, the summit served as an important milestone in bringing grief into the public conversation. By convening diverse voices from healthcare, academia, business, government, and community organizations, the event helped establish a foundation for future collaboration and advocacy while highlighting the critical need for accessible grief resources and support systems.

The success of the inaugural PathPal Grief Summit demonstrated both the demand for and importance of dedicated spaces to address grief and loss. Through thoughtful programming, impactful storytelling, and meaningful community engagement, the event created a powerful platform for learning, connection, and change.

Through its partnership with PathPal, TRIA helped launch a first-of-its-kind national event that is shaping the future of grief education and support in Canada.
